1 QUOTE:
“Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness; I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome than the one you cannot walk away from.”
— Søren Kierkegaard
1 ACTIONABLE IDEA:
"WALK MORE"
For the vast majority of the time, I force myself to do things I don't want to do. I feel that I need to exert pressure on myself constantly to prove myself and my worthiness. But, this is not true to my nature, and by nature, I mean my true self. The qualities that I had as a child, curiosity, vivid imagination, and eagerness to go outside and explore, still lives in me. I have just suppressed them with 'real' problems that need solutions.
I've experienced this during my journey in business. Most people don't know, but I run a 'real' business. But, that's for another newsletter (stay tuned wink emoji).
Back to where we left off, the child in me is still there, and something I started doing more of was walking, getting more sunlight during the morning, and going around the block when being inside got me all worked up in the afternoon. These little walks and times that I allow myself to reflect on what's important to me have helped me immensely to realize that my nature of imagining, being curious, and being outside 'exploring' has rekindled my child-like attitude of what's important.
I just had to zoom out and change my perspective from being in a car all the time, going here and there. To realize that where I am is where I am supposed to be right now. The future will dictate the next step, but right now, here is wonderful.
1 IDEA TO PONDER ON:
What are some things I liked to do as a child that I no longer do?
If you can come up with a few and determine if they are still applicable to you now, do them.
Save yourself first.
Much love, J.
